Wear It And Pass It On!

The original Lovestones necklace is a Rose Quartz wrapped in copper wire. It was designed to remind people that they are loved, can be loved, can give love, and heal.

The purpose of this necklace is to gift it to somebody or yourself, and once you feel like the necklace has served its purpose, to pass it on to someone else if you feel they may need it! This applies to any or all of the healing necklaces with their unique properties.

The belief is that they are most powerful when gifted, unless a necklace really speaks and jumps out to you. If this happens look up the meaning of the stone, and see if it resonates with your current life situation and experiences, if this is the case, it might be the piece for you!

Each necklace is as unique as it's wearer and their needs. I hope each necklace is loved for many years by many people to be passed down until it returns back to mother earth.

Lovestones believes that to create positive change - you must support those around you! Keep an eye out for collections dedicated to certain causes and projects, they will be changing regularly!

Locally Sourced Materials

Some special collections contain locally sourced stones, plants, and wood foraged from the surrounding areas. Local quartz crystals plucked from the sands of Quartz Island, lichen picked up off the ground that fell naturally from the trees, maple slices from branches that have been knocked down naturally from snow or wind storms. Lovestones is committed to sourcing all local materials ethically and respectfully with the environment and fragile ecosystems in mind.

GARBAGE GLITTER

From time to time attractive looking wrappers are salvaged off the ground, a friend's coffee table, or wherever else, and is snipped into little bits called "garbage glitter!" Pieces that could have ended up in the landfill or a lake are given a beautiful new life to be admired and loved as art! The best part is many people at the markets are drawn to garbage glitter pieces before they even know what it is! Finding out it used to be your favourite candy bar wrapper or ramen noodle flavour is just the cherry on top!

About The Artist

Stacey Mathews has been living and working out of Whistler since 2013. She has worked extensively with crystals over the years at local rock and gem shops. She also worked at the local recycling center for a few years which inspired her to incorporate recycled materials into her work. Lovestones has become her passion project to combine all of her experiences and passions into unique art pieces.
